1. A hoe is a tool with a thin flat blade used for tilling, mixing, cultivating or loosening the ground. It derives from the Middle English word howe-meaning to hew, or hack. See Picture:

2. A Ho is slang for whore, adopted from the interjection ho! which was usually followed up by a direction or destination such as "Land Ho!". See picture below:

Now how anyone confuses a garden tool with that type of overused slut I"ll never know but at least you should be aware of the difference.
