What are your impressions of BF4 beta so far?

Fuck the stinger. Just what I want, half the team looking in the sky and not doing shit to take control of the map. It's not difficult to hit the helos with an rpg shooting off the hip. I don't see the need for the stingers. It's just another suck ass part of the game as far as I'm concerned.

So far I've had the opposite experience with stingers. Typically I always get a 1 hit destroy - which I think is equally crazy. Obviously not consistant (but when have BF vehicles been perfect?)

but seriously, I've done 100 of the damage with the stinger and get a destroy.

I do like that, with a designation, you can use the rpg against any vehicle, land, sea, or air. I don't care what I am shooting at, as long as I am hitting something. I did point blank rpg a transport that tried to squash our team, VERY satisfying.
 
I upgraded to Win8 tonight and the game runs on average 15 fps faster and smoother, even though I didn't think there was a problem on Win7. It definitely sounds ass loads better on Win8. Of course, that's the Win8 driver for my sound card but damn what a difference.

Told you 8 wasn't so bad!* By the way, bringing back the AT4 would solve a metric fuckton of problems.

OK, so the new SSD arrived today (free 2 day with Prime my ass). If I install my Win8 on it as well and set it to be my primary, should I also install BF4 on it? Can I keep the install of BF4 on my other HD, or is it a problem?
 
No problem either way that I've ever seen. That's how I ran things until my new SSD arrived
 
if you buy a new sssd and install win 8 on it, can you still use your old hdd with the os on it? like lets say i was on win 8 ssd and i wanted to save some porno to my old hdd could i still do that?
 
^^^I think Sixer would be that best to consult for that. I believe that he runs a server farm for his storage.
 
It shouldn't be a problem, so get that shit loaded up on the new SSD!

Yeah, I picked up a Win8 pro upgrade for $73.00 Win8.1 doesn't do the upgrade and I didn't feel like reinstalling everything right now. Since I'd read a lot of positive comments about the upgrade I gave it a try. It went very smoothly and kept all my stuff and settings.
