TBG 2142 NIGHT!!

So, just to be clear, you guys are going to molest Soulzz, Sixer showers with Lysol, and Fast is deathly afraid of magnets...

Damn, that a great initiative lex. I woulda loved to be there but ill be on training the whole weekend starting friday night :/
I want to be noticed if there will an other tbg 2142 night in the future :)

Absolutely, there will be an event schedule coming out soon, that will tell you all of the upcoming event dates.
 
I reinstalled 2142 and it kept crashing every time the action got heavy, explosions, vehicles, especially titan. I don't think I played a single round more than a few minutes. I have no idea what's causing it to crash, but at this point my hopes aren't high for joining you guys on the 4th.

Interesting. Just a long shot, but have you tried reinstalling PB? Turning off your firewall (if any)? Running the game in compatibility mode for troubleshooting purposes?

Hell Soulzz, I don't think anybody's ever been able to fix my issues. That's a lifelong project if you ask me. Seriously, I'll check with you then. It was fun to play, but frustrating as hell for only a few minutes at a time.
 
I installed on Windows 7 with no compability mode. Installed game, installed patch, updated PB. ran for 3-4 hours no problem.

Yeah, I did all that originally and it crashed every 30 seconds.
I also reinstalled dx9. Hmmm. One thing I did notice is that I still had the old 2142 folder in "my documents" on my pc and this is a cloned image from another motherboard. I wonder if I need to delete that entire folder.

You shouldn't...unless it some odd XP thing.
 
I've been running Win7 64 for over a year other than the "modified content" kicking me between map changes I haven't had any issues. Maybe it's some conflict with some 3rd party application like a virus scanner?

Maybe some of the old cache from XP is causing the problems.

I would recommend cleaning out just the cache in your My Documents area.

Documents\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\cache

That "might" fix your problem.

That was my thinking also. I'll just delete the whole damned file. It'll reappear next time I start the game anyway and this time with Win7 64 files.
