PREVIEW
This is still in the works but here's what I've got so far.

New parts;
ASRock X370 Taichi motherboard
AMD Ryzen 7 1700X cpu
Patriot Viper DDR4 3200MHZ 16GB
Sleeved cables for my EVGA 1000G2 PSU
IDK what else, it's been a long day.
I did test this cpu, mb, and memory on a carbdboard box before installing; I want no surprises lol.

Recycled parts:
Corsair 900D case
HW labs 420GTS and 360 GTX radiators
Alphacool D5 PWM pump with Bitspower Ztank
XSPC Raystorm Pro cpu block -with AM4 adaptor kit.
EVGA 1080TI with EK waterblock.
Half lightbox for the case and most of the fans.

And pity @balls2dawall I've been pestering him all day with the same photos lol

So...on to the pictures :)

I made a few, ahem, modifications so I could put the 360 rad up front...kind of like the fucking specs for this case said I could...but that's another story :)

And that's it...between tearing that down, cleaning it up, cutting some metal out, cleaning up again, and then installing the radiator up front, the motherboard tray cover, installing the reservoir mounts and reservoir/pump, cpu and cpu waterblock, I got 1 piece of tubing done and so was I.

I'll finish the rest tomorrow.

Wow Randy, I never though I'd see you with an AMD processor!!!

Go AMD :D.

Exactly... Why? The only thing this is going to be good for is perhaps is finally being able to run an anti virus and game at the same time :p

lol this cpu makes my 4790k look like it's stuck in molasses. And mine's been feeling slow and old and not able to do all I want it to do anymore.

Plus, the new chipset lets my NVME m2 drive run at full speed and the new lan is way faster than my old setup.

I built a 1700x for the wife and liked it so much I had to get one for me :)

Serious stuff now why you not buy New case and what gpu you buying this time

Just a couple of pics to update. I still need to update the bios and all that happy horse shit but she's running :)

On a down note I accidentally cut one of the LED wires for the lightbox so I have no LEDs lit right now...which pisses me off buty fuck it for now.

Last pic for now. I got the bios updated, memory running at 3200mhz and haven't overclocked a thing yet.

Love this. Going to have to make my 4790K last 2-4 more years though I suspect.

IDK the 1700X is $300 the MB was $190 and you can get the 350 series for about $140 and the memory was $135...sell off the old setup and it's not too bad.

Looks good. Is your video card water cooled also? noob ?, I know. I want that taichi motherboard and 1700x also but been waiting for it to drop tho. Costa Rica vacation set back my plans for a new rig but its worth it. MOUNTAINS, surfing and Women galore down there! PURA VIDA!
