Well..im glad u asked...not in order....but:
BF1942

ah nice post marine. :D

For me I will go by my fondest memories. In order

1) Counter strike 1.5/1.6 (Good times all around. Scrims were lots of fun. Running 2 full servers at the age of 15 was very cool too. 1 server for the stock maps and the other all custom maps)
2) Soldier of Fortune 1 (not 2. Fuck yeah gory as hell and MP was fun as hell. CTF ALL THE WAY!)
3) Ghost Recon 1 only with all its expansion pack. realistic as fuck, fun as hell. The second and third just suck. Its more arcade-ish
4) Mechwarrior 4 (love the SP, great storyline, and MP)
5) Battlefield 2 (Jets, choppers mostly. Some fun times as Infantry)
6) Battlefield 2142 (Gunships really)
7)Call of Duty 4 (best COD out there today)
8) Call of Duty 5 (remember hating this and others forcing me to play it. Reminiscing now, its not so bad :>)
9)Soldier of Fortune 2 (yyyyyyaaaaaaa more goriness. But not better than original)
10) Counter Strike Source (its blah can't get that enjoyment from older CS)

11) Bad company 2 :>
 
In Order:

Counter Strike 1.3 (Wasted half of my teen years on this game)
Quake (With the Artifact Quake mod, this could be played forever, Rocket launchers mmmm)
Clive Barker's Undying (The best written horror shooter ever, bar none)
Duke Nukem 3d (Just a blast, was the crudest game of its time)
Counter Strike Source (Upgraded the look of my favorite game, but it seemed to lose a bit..)
BF2142 (Gunships Gunships Gunships. Got to fly with the best in the world.)
BFBC2 (The most polished BF game yet. )
Quake 3 Arena (Fast paced, in your face, fragging, Artifact mod on this too)
Call of Duty 4 (Played the hell out of this multiplayer in afghanistan. Helped keep me sane)
BF1943 (First game of its kind, bigger than any other shooter in scale, yet not an MMO)
 
Medal of Honor...really got me into online gaming
Call of Duty 1 & 2
Battlefield Series (1942, expanison, Secret Weapons of WII, Vietnam, BF2, 2142, etc..)
Addicted to 2142 & was ranked #1 in the world for long time..GI

I'm pretty sure that didn't happen. The way I remember it, I raped your face with the mortar-rockets.

nothing beats Rogue Spear back in the day!!!!! thats what got me started! then Raven shield, i would kill for them to make a good game with dedicated server files with Tom Clancy's name on it!!!!!! Run N' Gun Pistols Only style!!! WOOOHOOO
 
Not enough love to Doom and Perfect Dark. I still play those pretty often. and no love at all for Team Fortress 2, Bioshock, or FEAR.

BF2 is definitely my favorite shooter all time. and with every new war shooter that comes out I always have to compare it to that.

Halo/Halo2 has captured many hours of my life in summers past, especially when me and my brothers would hook two TVs and Xbox up and play all night

I played lotta fps, but imo nothing beats goldeneyes64 on multiplsyer mode lol you rememebr the fun when we had four controllers, the ''oddjob prohibited'' rule.., that game was an instant classic. hehe proximity mines in the toilets...

I dont have a top ten because the games I mentionned are the #1 of their era. BF2142 is still the best PC FPS. All the other FPS I played were almsot the same...I never got addicted to them like I been addicted to the game I mentionned.
