I'm with you. I knew it was part of the carrier I didn't know that's actually defined as the bolt. I have never assembled a semi of any kind or an AR platform before and the only bolt assemblies I have aren't quite like that. I am not an enthusiast and hand guns are also quite different.I don't know what that is... I think its a rotating firing pin but don't actually know.

Thats where I am confused. Looking it up the AR-15, M16, M4 and several other related designs even the AK47 is listed as utilizing a rotating bolt and the design is somewhat in your face as well. Id normally trust a soldier like snake to know better than me but perhaps they had him building too many trebuchets while he was away from racing with memy browning bolt action rotates to lock into the chamber, i always thought the ar 15 platform did the same
