Okay, I was running an I-7 920@4.2ghz on an Asus Rampage motherboard. With the Haswells coming out I upgraded and got:

1. Asus Deluxe Z87 motherboard
2. Haswell I-7 4770k cpu
3. Nvidia GTX 780 Hydro Copper
4. EVGA SuperNova 1000w PSU.

It took forever getting the cabling the way I wanted and I stripped the whole damn thing down, the old psu, MB, water cooling loop, and fans. I cleaned everything up, installed all the new components and went to work setting up the water cooling again. Anyway, it's up and running, haven't run any benchmarks yet as I'm still updating Windows and installing all the drivers, but here's a few pics. The CPU is running at 25C idle and the GPU at 26C idle...in Texas! I'm a happy camper. Anyway, have a look at some pics while I continue installing shit.

Nice! BTW Finally got me a pair of new headphones wait till you hear me in TS lol - I got the A40's 2013 Edition after much research. So far they have exceeded my expectations and my god can I hear details in BF3 - my game has stepped up another notch... The quality of sound and microphone clarity has won me over. Congrats on your new build! Im gona have to upgrade for BF4 - im looking at the Titan. (paid my car off today woot! woot!)

How high can you take the 780? I'm interested because I don't have numbers from anyone on water and I'm thinking about buying one.

Fuck 3dmark, just tell me how high the core clock can go :p

Not tonight, sometime over the weekend maybe.

I wouldn't expect much since it's clocked at 980mhz already. Besides, I got the Hydro to keep it cool, kill fan noise, and lower the temps in my office. I'll let you know what I find out though.

SIX! you must let me know if it's worth it to go with new z87/haswell or stick with z77 3rd gen shit....I expect a review in a couple monthss..once you get yer bugs worked up and the bearings greased!

That is sexy sixer!!! Sexier then Balls rig(sorry). This is like PC porn ;p Good job man.

Only 4 gig's?

Thanks, Sid. 4 gigs for the old cpu? This one runs at 3.5 with the "turbo" 3.9ghz. I love that it draws, as a system, less than half the power my old system did, even at idle which is kind of sad.

Thanks, and yeah I love the water here in TX it gets pretty warm here in the summer.

Mem.

I thought Intel was up to 4.2ghz.

Looks great. I really like the water cooling setup. Where did you get the block and pump?

Thanks. The block and pump/resevoir combo I got from Frozen CPU. It's the XSPC Raystorm cpu block and the XSPC dual bay reservoir/D5 variable pump combo. The radiator is the XSPC RX360.

Well, I hopped on BF3 for a bit and with my office at 27C the CPU was running at 47C and the 780 Hydro Copper was running at 34C :) I'm very happy with that, and the gameplay was a lot smoother too which is a huge plus. Hopefully I won't have all those microstutters I used to have with the X58 system. In short, I like this new rig a lot!
