Hey guys I just want to let you know that I was selected for the UH-60 Black Hawk course for my advanced airframe transition, although the Gunship will always have a place in my heart nothing is as sexy or as fucking bad ass as a Blackhawk pack with rockets, miniguns, hellfires and all of your buddies ready to shoot some mother fuckers in the face!!!

The 160th SOAR is the night stalkers. They were in Somalia, thats some bad ass shit, congrats man.

I would come out of retirement to door gun for you. Sweet ride, Lex! Hope you go to 160th. They were badass in the Persian Gulf in the late 80's, along with TF 118.

They were across the ramp from us at KAF, great bunch of dudes, escorted us lots on RC South/North crap to FOB Sweeney and Tarin Kowt. I hope you get it Lex, no doubt a once in a lifetime experience :)

Hell lex as long as im the one flying the attack chopper you know you will always be safe in your blackhawk. Long live the blackhawk. Have fun man.

Thanks guys!! I will most def post some photos up. And maybe I can work out a dealy-O for a TBG helo ride ;D

Nice avatar but what Bell commercial piece o junk is that lol. That interior is either too nice for military or is been desert flavored. Gonna guess its a trainer. Eitherway looks good we just need one in a blackhawk now!

Lol, it's a TH-67C Creek, an Army version of the Bell206III. They are great trainers, and I really enjoyed flying it, but man it was underpowered as shit, it was extremely squirrelly on landings and in turbulence, but a great Instrument platform. The Army does a great job of packing as much shit as they can in their Helicopters. The IFR models were very very nice, but the Army definitely spoiled us with the climate controlled cockpit, brand new Garmin GPS and a complete array of civilian avionics. It had an aircrew of 3, and would push max gross weight almost every day, some days, we could not take off with a full bag of gas because we did'nt have the power to take off with 3 people on board. Its one of the safest commercial "off the shelf" models out there, but the maintenance divison out at Cairns Army Airfield (where they are based) did a terrible job keeping them properly maintained. Not too bad seeing as they had 100+ Aircraft launch and return everyday. They have all been on the flight line since 93.

One of the only plus sides, is that is had a kick ass air conditioner... which unfortunately, the black hawk does not, at least the non-leather seat model don't lol.

I guess Bell wasn't too hard of a guess lol. I am not sure if thats a midget in a tiny helicopter or if he is just too tall. Im being serious something looks out of whack. Must be the sit down orientation with plenty of leg room. I swear everytime i look at it im like wtf am i looking at.... I better stop lol

Ive always loved the dash in them things looks like a 50 inch projection tv was stuck in the front.

Nah dude, that bird has a VERY small cockpit, I think he was leaning forward a little bit, he is a few inches taller than me, I think hes like 6'2 or something like that, but what I don't understand is that my buddy who is 6'9 was able to fit in that thing, but just barely....
