I never really liked the Vietnam one, and this looks to be no exception.

Looks sweet. Vietnam should be interesting :D.

Map pack + a few new weapons = $50 expansion?

Probably not, unless I can find it for ~$20 again and the maps seriously rule (which I am very skeptical about but let's see what happens).

Now if they'd come up with a "BC2: Northern Strike" expansion, that would rock seriously... and I'd totally buy it and play it with the 5 other people who would be interested in playing on winter maps all the time :) .

EA announced the first multiplayer expansion pack to Bad Company 2 at their E3 keynote conference on 6/13. Full details are not known about the pack yet, but EA confirmed that the new content will allow you to play as a U.S. Marine or a North Vietnamese solider. We don’t have any word on pricing yet, but EA said to wait for further announcements on the pack. It seems like EA is keeping BFBC2 owners very busy with updates for the game.
