Battlefield 4 will not include motion controls. In a new interview, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach explained that he doesn?t see motion control as a necessary addition since it wouldn?t enrich the experience.

?We are not interested in things that don?t make the game better,? Bach told Edge. ?There are a lot of gimmicks ? people throwing money at us ? ?can you implement support for this quirky control thing?? No, it doesn?t make the game better.?

Bach added that the studio is ?extremely open to innovation, but if it?s a gimmick, there?s no point unless it adds value to the player. Touch screens used to be a gimmick, because no one could get it to work until iPhone came out and used it right. It adds to the experience, and now everyone is doing it. To us it?s the same with motion control and perceptual gaming in general; if it adds, great. If it?s a gimmick, ignore it.?

i hope motion control is never picked up by video games. i use a keyboard and mouse mother fuckers not a wand!

All I can say is the future gamer will say "Sorry guys I just did a 30 minute run through Halo 47 and im too tired to play with you guys. I would unhook everything and sit down but I am too much of a fat lazy bastard to do that either."
