Exactly. Approaching a vessel in a small craft without making radio contact and stating your identity and intentions should be consider suicidal. Can't make radio contact turn around and go home. If your in distress you needn't be steaming at them under your own power.

If a vessel attacks you I think it should be destroyed with all lifeforms on board. If no pirate ever returns home they will be reduced to the suicidal terrorists hell bent on sinking ships that remain.

My lunatic train of thought only works on these open water situations. Got plenty of pirates in local shipping channels that sneak aboard at night. Hard to counter.
