Someone told me you can't apply for it, you can only do it if you have a tablet. I don't think that's true but maybe I am wrong. Anyone know?

The tablet feature's been presented as an option so far. Nothing in the videos I've seen even hinted at it not being an in-game interface. Just that the tablet/phone idea was a gimmicky option or optional gimmick.

easy way to ghost the other team, have your tablet be commander on the other team and have ur pc player on the opposite team.

I wish those cocks would just add frostbite engine to BF2 or 2142, maintaining original gameplay...just with amped up physics,dynamics, and destruction!
commanders only succeed with teamwork, and BF4 seems like for a commander to be worth a fuck is if a team has good offense and defense...cant just start out with all assets from the ground running! which will very exciting and interesting at the same time. I personally never liked the commanders unless it was someone I knew, knew of, or me(and about 10 buddies or so), I would never play on commander servers...Most people never utilized the squad command...and most squads never followed if issued a command. But in his seat(if he is competent), and uses his knowledge of the battlefield and squads executed when commanded, the battle will be in your farvour more times than not!
