what is your resolution?

Are we talking BF or just general computing? 1280x1024..regular computing; 1024 x 768 BF2142...lower res = higher FPS.

1024x768, still using a Viewsonic CRT. Besides, when you get old it is hard to see things well at the higher res!

Like you need to worry about fps with 2 4870x2 in your system???

for the width of the layout of the new design... i want to widen the sites layout so we can fit more at the top.

... the hell?! If you really do have a 4870x2 you should really buy a new monitor and run at 1920x1200 or 1920x1080... or even higher (if you have the $$ for a TripleHead2Go for some 5040x1050 or a 30-inch HR-display aka Dell or Apple Cinema - not recommended b/c for the same $$ you can get the TH2Go and it's bigger/arguably better).

But anyway, the 4870x2 should have no problems rendering more than 60fps with 4xAA on highest at these resolutions...

If you get low FPS sometimes it's because of the network lag - try single player and you'll see what I mean (it runs really smooth in comparison)...

In the spirit of the alleged reply of Jeff Skilling, ex CEO of Enron (currently fined $45M - although I think he abused MUCH more and serving a ~25 yr sentence) to the question whether he was smart at his Harvard Business School admission, I'll reply:

"I'm FUCKING smart!"
