While we're always sad to see someone leave IGN and not be able to work with that person day in and day out anymore, this is definitely one of those situations where we can't help but be proud and happy to see a staff member move on to something new and great. Today, we congratulate Tina Palacios on her transition to Infinity Ward as the new Senior Community Manager of Call of Duty.
As many of you know, Tina's been at the heart of the 1UP and IGN communities for several years now, injecting her unique brand of humor and passion into our sites, and breaking down the barriers between our internal editorial teams and our valued community members. Both 1UP and IGN are much better sites and communities thanks to her.
She's also a huge Call of Duty fan.
So yeah, it comes as little surprise that Infinity Ward wanted someone of her talents to head up community for Call of Duty. It really is a fantastic new step for Tina, and we couldn't be happier for her. Today we say goodbye to Tina, but the great part is that it's not really goodbye -- we'll still be working with her regularly, just from different places now.
