Normally I do my docking with the MechJeb addon, but playing Career mode I haven't unlocked docking in that addon yet... So my first ever manual docking!

I used the maneuver planner to do a hohmann transfer and then matched velocities. Then used SAS to aim at my target and capture.

Bonus, I did a probe to Jool earlier and the pinball lottery rewarded me with a Laythe capture for extra science and easier orbit of Jool:

I can't even remember how many planets/moons I have been to today. This was the farthest one and was incidental. I used my escape trajectory to let me fly by since I couldn't capture an orbit of my original target.

Not much worth noting for today. Probably gained 5000 science and put a bit into the tech tree. Also designed my first Sentinel style satellite. I've never had much interest asteroid hunting in this game.

Managed to capture an orbit around Moho the closest planet, like our mercury. Burn took 1.5 hours to go from intercept to orbit. Heavy satellite to ensure maximum return, otherwise idiotic in design.

So I got 800 Mm from the Sun (Kerbol). It was going okay until I noticed the solar array as only getting 70% exposure. It exploded when I tried to do better.
