It's similar to fraps, but better. I've only tried the demo version but the video quality is 10 times better, in my opinion, as well as the screenshot and it does not slow down my fps while recording in game.

Take a look and see what you think.

I wish I could run the graphics that high :(.

You can make fraps not limit the framerate while recording btw. There's a switch somewhere for it... not sure if you had that on. I think it's called "limit to <x> fps while recording" and it needs to be turned off if you like.

I've done that and on average my fps with fraps doing video drops to 35 from 125-145 normally. With PlayClaw it went down to 90 which is very playable and I just think the video quality especially is so much better than Fraps.

Oh, if anybody's interested, try the demo: http://www.playclaw.com/forum/index.php

The only thing wrong with this I've noticed, and I'm running the demo, is that I have to start BC2 first then PlayClaw. Otherwise BC2 freezes on login.

I downloaded the full version & all I have to say is WOW!

The only drawback the files are fucking huge; I love the overlays, shows the video size, vent, gpu temp, cpu load & cpu temp.

Heh, I love the large files since you get to see e v e r y t h i n g! I just can't go back to fraps or anything else, and I like the overlays also.

I downloaded, recorded some stuff, and when I try to play my recorded files, nothing happens.
Windows Media Player says there was a problem playing back the file?

Is there a certain program I can use to view the files?

get VLC to play things plays almost anything and free

That won't work. The player does support the TAMB codec, which is apparently some codec the playclaw program uses. I tried downloading the codec, nothing.

I've tried asking on the playclaw forums, maybe that will help.

EDIT:
Fixed it, seemed my download was corrupt. I'm glad, because his program does High-Def and doesn't lag as much as Fraps.
