Kinda mad that Asus will not make a bios for this chip to work in the Crosshair. This chip is unsupported but some was able to make it work.
 
I really doubt DDR3 will bring much if anything. Clockspeed and architecture - especially hyperthreading is what is fucking them in the ass currently.

Even as a long-time loyal AMD user (8 years and running - Barton and then Athlon/Opteron) I have to admit, I7 is head and shoulders above AMD, even with the Phenom II - even clock-per-clock. And I don't think DDR3 will fix that...

AMD is really moving a generation behind... but it's cheap - especially considering you don't have to get expensive DDR3 sticks and a pimp mobo like you do for I7.
 
I agree. Intel set ups are expensive. The avg user and including gaming, the AMD set up works just fine. I have had them both, Intel and AMD set up, the price for AMD and the performance it gives for what I do is fine. Maybe since AMD is behind and keep there prices down this might make Intel keep there prices down.
 
As long as AMD has lower prices, Intel will follow, I hope.
