2142 Mic problem

I have a problem with my microphone in 2142. It works when i test the hardware in my control panel but does not function within 2142. It was working a few weeks ago. Anybody have any suggestions on what to try?

Take a screen shot of your mic settings and post them

Is it a USB mic? What brand of mic/headset is it?

2 things .. first try to set your ptt "push to talk" to a different key in game and make sure that your mic boost is activated in the game audio options. Also use the test in the audio options see if it works there because voip doesnt always work so well in 2142.

My usb mic works when i run it through testing and configuration within the control panel.

It only appears to non functional within the game. `I try the microphone test function in the audio setup and i get nothing.

Thanks for the help offered. I feel like an idiot as it was the sound recording setting was set to the wrong device in the sounds and audio section of my control panel. The test voice function was always working fine as it is sound recording setting in the audio part not the voice.
