I was running a gtx980 and wanted to update. I think ray tracing tech will catch on. The 1080ti is about the same as the 2080. Agreed the price jump is bullshit and part gimmick. The video detail is pretty sweet and noticeable.

Just update rig. Was running overclocked haswell(gen 4). Ran great hence I was pushing off upgrading. Let me tell you the 8th gen upgrade was worth it. Just starting to overclock. A few clicks and went from 3.7 to 4.7. Will be going to 5 GHZ if I can get everything stable. Still running...

No. Still using the card. figure there will be some cyber Monday deals so will pick up a new 1080. They are still pricey. I paid $540 for the 980 which was a deal at the time.

I had fun in the alpha and beta. Enjoyed vehicle's and infantry. I like it just hope we can have servers and enjoy it as a clan. Joel and I had a blast in the planes. He was good as a pilot and it is fun in the secondary seat shooting.
