Specifically which ASUS motherboard for the AMD quad black edition AM2+ were you planning on getting??? I've built a few of these in the past and have tried the two main motherboards by AMD for this setup.
In my professional opinion: the M3A32 was an almost perfect motherboard for this...

I downloaded Fraps, installed it and got a little bit of Selvaria's gameplay here... he switched weapons and by this time he wasn't near direct line of sight of many enemies... you can see here how he snaps around 180° when he comes in line of sight of an enemy though.
