So I played BF1 which I bought off a member. At first it was unplayable. But after it crashed and I lowered my overclock by 100mhz I found that in low it gets a steady 60 fps (probably capped somewhere i didnt look). If I turn any setting up my poor GTX 570 just can't do it lol.

Ebay prices on GTX 770's are in the 75-100 dollar range and at that price its probably worthwhile. Slightly cheaper than a 1050 and slightly more powerful. But I am stuck with whatever someone has for sale if I look at what you guys have.

As usual I will have to look to even see when I will have the money but it's steady coming in for the next 2 months so soon! I actually have a contract for web development on the line that I hope will help pay for a gaming laptop under the guise of needing something for graphic design and web development lol.

BF1 does NOT like cpu overclock. It'll run your cpu usage to max and stay there while you have mouse control issues and jitters and jumps.

I just got rid of the 980 I had about 2 weeks ago...sorry. That would've worked nicely.

I don't think the overclock was stable. I had a couple of random crashes since I got it from Manny and I was just being too lazy to change it. Now that its sorted it doesn't seem to mind it at 4.5. Though on a 6700K 500 mhz isn't much to write home about.

CPU usage starts high with this game but goes down after you start playing. I was worried about ram usage. I gave the 16GB of ram I had to my fiance because I couldn't use it and manny gave me an 8GB stick with the setup. Ram usage was pretty high, over 4GB but it goes under 3 at some point... lol.

Microcenter had refurbs for sale at 109. Bought the 2 year warranty for 10.
