Hi everyone.

As you know, the last chance to upgrade for free to Windows 10 expires in a few days. Before I pull the plug on the upgrade, does anyone have any advice or reasons not to upgrade? I'm still on Windows 7 with no issues, running an Nvidia GTX-580. (Insert ancient technology joke here)

The only thing that really concerns me is that my external sound card interface isn't supported on Windows 10. Any other bad experiences or reasons that I should just stay on Windows 7? Your input and advice would be welcome and appreciated.

Thanks very much.

Windows 10 is awesome. Only complaint is how it will auto download updates without being able to see them. I love the fact pretty much everything works when you plug it in without having to install software.

Been on it for a while, works great.

Thank you to everyone who gave feedback. That's a relief that no one had horror stories!

I appreciate you all for taking the time to reply.

I upgraded less than a month ago and I would upgrade again. It's multiple-monitor friendly for example the taskbar shows up on all monitors by moving mouse to the very bottom and the ALT + TAB in BF4 is smoother than in Win 7

it shouldn't. it made my wifes 7 year old laptop have new life. It is amazing how much better it is than Windows 8 or 8.1

Just got finished updating. So far, I like it. Coming from 7 Ultimate. All my shit appears to be intact, for now. Everything looks good.

Hope you did the option to save a backup from when 7 was installed just in case you don't like 10 or something went wrong

I say go for it. Nice thing is, if you don't like it after awhile you have 1 month from the upgrade date to downgrade. After that the option is gone.

yeah I started the install after it bugging me for over a year.....then it didnt work lol over a year of it pestering me for me to end up spending 4 hours begging it to work. I just want to go back to the days of 7.

I recently made my Windows 10 installation dual boot with Windows 7. I was having all kinds of issues with crashes on an older game (2142) and one newer game (NBA 2K16). Now on Windows 7 neither game crashes.

I didn't want to get rid of the Win10 and lose the ability to play DX12 games in the future. So if you play older games dual boot is an option.

Coming from someone who uses dos and win 7 at work to 10 at home, 10 starts the fastest, has very low cpu and ram overhead, and is dx12 ready.
