SLI/Second video card woes....

I guess my thought process is that first and foremost a card should show up in the BIOS for that second slot. I can't even get a single card in the second slot to display video. If the bios can't see it, then nothing can. Right?
I have a Sabertooth X79 so my BIOS is a little different than yours but there really isn't any settings that generally need to be touched in order for the second PCI-e slot to work properly.

If you only have 1 Video card physically connected to the mobo and it's in the middle PCI-e slot it should still display video.

I agree with Homebrew. Contact ASUS support and have them help you. I had to contact ASUS last year myself and they were pretty good in prompt replies.

Good luck

I had to order a Z97 Mark 1, this Z97 Mark2 is shit and it's going to be RMA'd. My Z77 was perfect, I miss it.

Had to RMA the Mark 1 board because it was used! I yelled at Newegg about the return shipping cost, and they refunded it to me.

Well I think I have solved my Mark 2 problems. Freak'n noVidia 359.06 driver release.
When using the z77 mobo I used noVidia release 344.11, so using it now.

All seems okay at the moment. 98% of the time the bf4 performance graph for the cpu is dead flat. Knock on wood!

Hooyaa!

I have the ASUS currently. Works flawlessly. You won't regret it

No one has them in stock....grrrrr.

Just a thought, and I haven't looked at your mobo manual, but does it have anything like this switch on the motherboard?

download.axd

Meh, never mind just looked and your board doesn't have that, and it seems to be a recurring problem with that motherboard for z77 and z97.

Thanks for looking Six. I ordered a Msi motherboard to test out.

Did you call up Asus? I would assume they could fix it over the phone if it's a simple fix or just RMA it.

Edit- Also did you look on the site and make sure your BIOS is running the correct version, or did you do it with AI Suite 3?

Yeah I updated the BIOS. I don't use their desktop software.
PRoblem is that Asus US support isn't really seem to be around when I am off work. As soon as I get the MSI board and test it I'll RMA the board.
