I would go with at least Win 7 Pro. Other than that it looks like a decent rig. Good mid-range rig nothing fancy, nothing too cheap either.

welcome to forums!

Yea I think you can run this baby with any new games just fine with high FPS.

A no brainer, you can run this all maxed out on bf2.

Yea if you can get at least win7 pro, the better ;) But its not a big deal.

Alright thanks. As long as I can run BF3 when it comes out, I'll be happy. And I have no idea what the minimum specs for that are going to be like. I'm just hoping I'll be able to run it, because frankly, I am dissapointed I missed out on the BFBC2 PC Experience. Xbox was a little dissapointing.. But still good!

I'll look into Windows 7 Pro.

The full retail copy of ultimate is within a few dollars of the full retail copy of pro so if your buying a copy that you plan to keep past this motherboard no sense in settling. If your buying the oem license then the price might be farther off i never looked.

I will be purchasing the OEM Disc, because it's cheaper.. and Ultimate is $40 more than Pro, so I'll just stick with pro.

Yeah then that makes sense. I am personally gonna do the 120 day rearm when i build my machine and then splurge on a retail copy of Ultimate. Once the machines up im permanently putting this laptop back on vista as absolute performance wont matter for it anymore.

Mind you the only thing in pro i thinks worth a damn is the XP mode, I dont need domain login and anything else is worthless and or replaceable. Home Premium gets a bad rap lol.

I'd say that you should be fine. BF3 will run on and updated version of BC2's current Frostbite engine and I don't expect major changes that will affect performance, given the vids available to us now. Still, you'll do fine with BF3 with what you have now.

Yea okay, Thanks to your guys' Help, I have switched out Home Premium for Professional, so we're all set there. And if my rig can run BF3.. Great! Maybe I'll also throw some racing games or something like that at it as well.
