I want to build a new PC before fall that will last me a few years, one I got now is starting to get bi polar on me,, its about 5 years old now only thing i upgraded was the video card and added a SSD for squad. I use it for PC gaming once I have time for that again, and use it for CAD drawings and some video editing.

I been out of the PC world really dont know whats what other then what newegg suggests to me

Budget of about $2k for it.

my current machine has this:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce GTX 1070

I made this list with the current hardware that is out today. check this out.. im assuming you want to use the same case, video card, keyboard and mouse and you can use the current SSD drive you have as an extra for storage if you want. Also, you can go i9 processor for 120 bucks more.. but i dont think youll need it.

also to think about is going AMD with the new ryzen processors with 12 cores or more. people say they are good as well.

with 2000 budget.. you have many options.. even upgrading your video card.

Check memoryexpress.com
If it's cheaper, all prices Canadian, order it ship it to me and I'll send it FedEx, usually shipping on those small things is 30 to 50 dollars, add that price in and see how it is, I found the prices identical to Canada only your dollar is worth more. Almost 30 cents to the dollar more.
