So i had my cpu on today and all of a sudden the breaker tripped, not a big deal. well i went to turn the cpu back on and it went through the normal start up proccedures. It gets to the part where i should be able to log in and instead i get this black screen saying that its missing a file windows/windows32...... and some other stuff, tells me i have to install the original disc and repair it. I dont think i ever had an original disc let alone know where i might be hiding it. any help would be great

If you get that fixed, get a UPS backup of some sort. I lost a couple of hard drives that way and have had one ever since. They save your data, your hard drive, and maybe your entire PC.

You should be able to use any matching install disc. Windows 7 x86 with Win 7 x86, x64 with x64, Vista with the trash.

what is it xp? jesus lol. Pro is all i have for that and the repair on it isnt exactly what you call useful or automatic but it can help.
