Why is "jew" a banned term but when people say "faggot," it is not? In this day and age "faggot" is really a more reprehensible term than "jew." Just an observation due to many players using that term lately.
 
Someone else will probably come alone to explain this better... but in the end its really simple. Its not because jew by itself is reprehensible, but how it is used in chat.

We have pages upon pages of logs with the use of the word Jew. 95% of the time it is used in a derogatory and racist context. or used to incite others to be derogatory and/or racist. So its made the filter list.
 
Jew is a racial slur, faggot is not... But if you are constantly saying faggot, faggot faggot it will probably lead to a bad.

Exactly this.

The word Jew in and of itself made it to the list due to how quickly people start down the slippery slope of antisemetic jokes. If this is in reference to the ban your friend put in, comments like that start the ball rolling, making it harder for admins to deal with the resulting fallout.

The word faggot on the other hand is not.
