Problems with punk buster

I bought one of my friends a copy of BF 2142 and every time they join a ranked server after playing for a few minutes it kicks them.

Well, it could be one of many things.

Did he update PB after installing the game?
Did he check to make sure PunkBusterA and B are running?
Is his firewall blocking the services for PB?

Please be more specific .

I had an issue this weekend with PB and had to manually update it, give it a shot

i had punkbuuster B stop, manual reload worked

search for pbsvc. Uninstall pb, restart, reinstall pb, update pb with pbsetup... hopefully it will be OK.

Just wonder why its happening he installed it the exact same way i did.

With PB, anything can happen. Try one of the methods suggested and see if you get any results .
