I cleaned the dust. Now I have been getting a rhythmic squeaking. CPU is runing nominal, but after a while of teh noise it shuts itself down. Not getting any error messages. What's going on? Any ideas?

Case fans not mounted well? Is it PSU, CPU Cooler, or?

Everything is mounted well. I've checked every fan to see if it stops the noise and it doesn't

Try reconnecting gpu a few cords here and there. I cleaned my pc out the other night taking a few fans off etc. At start up i got a blue screen giving me the finger. I couldn't go into safe mode either. I took my gpu out and back in , pc started up just fine. no restore point needed. Assuming you meant pc itself shuts down.

At about 20 mins and still behaving. GGiving it a bit more time before I play anything or close up the case.

I reseated like crazy after it died again. Now it only flickers on for a moment.

Noise is back. Probably just a matter of time until it all goes dark again. Thinking it could be the PSU. In which case I'm SOL until September. Here's to hope.

Back in the dark. Going to let it sit without power while I go sulk in bed for a while

I know it doesn't help now, but that's why I always have a backup PSU...it sucks when yours dies and you have no replacement.

Only other one I have is a 500 which won't have the juice or full connections. Guess I'll get a back up in the future

Yeah, stop by Microcenter when they're having a sale you can pick up a decent backup for about $50-60.00

Poked around a little bit. Got it running just idle in teh background. Bringing my laptop on my desk and up to speed to maybe play a game or two. I'm hopeful at this point.

I had it stay on for 30 mins, now it wont pass 10. Guess I'll be laptop bound for the next while.

You haven't located what is making the noise? Did/can you go back over everything and make sure you didn't blow a nice chunk of dust into something? can you check your temps and see if your CPU is running hot.

this, was gonna ask about this.

FYI, I always have a recording of both GPU temps, and cpu temp of all 4 cores individually. comps can have moods and knowing how things should look will always help down the road with diagnostics. gives you a great indicator if you need to dust it, or if you need new thermal paste. also helps locate the hot spots that arrise. log and memorize. If it is your PSU, that sux. seen that before. check the caps and see if maybe you will only need to slder in a new one. ;). lmk if you need help

Temps are all nominal. I have seen all the cores and my gpu. Nothing else seems off besides that. I can only get it to stay on for about 3 mins atm.

psu sounds likely.
