Adults' long-term stress, particularly the high levels of stress reported by Americans directly linked to the pandemic, is wreaking havoc on their mental and physical health, including changes in weight, sleep, and alcohol consumption. When people are having trouble coping with mental health challenges, weight gain is a common symptom. Since the start of the pandemic, the majority of adults (61%) have reported unwanted weight changes, with more than 2 in 5 (42%) saying they have gained more weight than they intended. Adults in this group gained an average of 29 pounds (with a median gain of 15 pounds), with one in ten (10%) reporting a gain of more than 50 pounds. The average amount of weight lost by the 18% of Americans who said they lost more weight than they wanted to was 26 pounds (median of 12 pounds).
It shows that adults are more prone to stress, well I kinda agree with that since not all people don't have proper work that can sustain their needs which is really stressful. How about you, what are your thoughts?
