I have had good luck using Acronis true image to clone an existing drive to SSD. It is my main drive on my gaming comp and have had no issues.

I have also done a restore to an SSD using the windows restore CD and suddenly 2 months later had the network drivers take a shit on me. not sure what caused the problem. It could have been all the tweaks i did to to the SSD which i had not done to any of my other SSD restore.

Hate to migrate. I keep only few software and the os on my SSD, nothing else. If its comes to a change of C drive, then reinstall all, its also faster imo.
