Holy shit! I gotta practice this.

Well, it takes 20 shots to bring the chopper down, so you can escape while they're reloading to repair :-D
 
That is a good video. It looks like you have to be fairly low and also the timing is critical. You can see that his buddy tried to dodge too early and got slammed.
 
I'm gonna experiment to see if going FORWARD, direction and down doesn't work better. It seems like it would...

It'd be hard to pull off in game, and I usually don't fly that low, but who knows... maybe it will be helpful.
 
looks like it only works if your facing the direction of the shooter and it has to be a slow ass rpg. A CG would still get you. The thing is in the apache you can dodge missles like crazy I was in one with a pilot who never used smoke and he dodged about 30 shots.....the best was it was on port valdez and we stole their apache, used it all the way to the end of the board. Was actually firing shots into the inside of the B station at the end from the side so they could not disarm. Zappy was there I believe, the guy flew the best I have ever seen.
 
Fuck yeah, that dude was amazing. Wasn't one on one on an empty server either, he was getting shot at from everywhere it seemed like.
 
He dodges Gustavs towards the end. The chat says "I'm using the CG". The pilot responds "ok".
 
easy..get in the tank and use the machine gun turret....no more CHOPPA...shot many down that way....kabooom!!!
 
UAV is better to kill heli. get in uav have the machinegun attachment for it and shoot through the glass and kill pilot.

LOL... that's either edited or an insane pilot that wanted to wet his feet.

But yeah, it actually worked tonight with me going forward just fine. The only problem is that you lose all your altitude doing this and if there's another missile flying towards you, you're fucked. Not enough time to rise and do it again usually... and you need to be dropping down and to one side when the missile is coming towards you...

Still, very useful though. Got me a LULZkill.
