yea need a 8 pin =( but I have my CPU OC'ed from 2.3 to 4.0 and want to OC my GPU when I get it connected - so Looking for a good psu

If you're looking at 850-XFX has one (made by seasonic) and there's a LEPA (made by enermax) that are solid and reliable.

Newegg.com - XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Newegg.com - LEPA B850-MA 850W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Or just get the Seasonic for $5.00 more

Newegg.com - Seasonic SS-850HT 850W ATX12V v2.31,EPS12V v2.92 80Plus Silver Certified, Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

These aren't modular, but they are reliable and at a good price.

Or if you want a really good PSU with more power at $149 there is always the PC Power & Cooling, they make their own and are also very reliable and quiet-but not modular.

Newegg.com - PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk II 950W High Performance 80PLUS Silver SLI CrossFire ready Power Supply

Or better yet Corsair 850W TX for $109 http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-CMPSU-850TX-850-Watt-Certified-compatible/dp/B001M3G42W/ref=sr_1_31?ie=UTF8&qid=1319067576&sr=8-31

Don't fuck around with getting a cheap PSU-it goes and so could your system. What costs more, paying a little more for a quality PSU or having to pay for a whole new system?

Yeah, those Corsair TX series PSUs rock. I has a 750TX that I oc'd to 4.0ghz my I7920 and rand my 5870 on with zero problems.

Thanks for the great links - Eurphuct saved me time + money for the time being - I used some adapters and converted the 2 pci-e 6 pins to a 8 pin connecter - and found another adapter I had laying around that converted the 2 HDD power connecters I had left to a 6 pin connecter - booted up - downloaded drivers - and Im playing Crysis 2 with Dx 11 patch - and its beautiful.

For now this will have to do - I can wait to OC my GPU - the bitch gets loud while gaming - so im going to look into Water Cooling - + im going to save for a new mobo + another 580.
