Sorry guys, I know I just got back. Last night we had a power outage and although I use a surge protector my harddrive got fucked up. I've done every troubleshooting option and ran any kind of repair disk out there. No luck. For some reason there isn't a single store in austin that has a western digital black 1TB in stock, and no store has a Samsung 250g ssd. I ordered an ssd online and it should be here late thursday, the plan is to install windows 7 on it, clean upgrade to Windows 10, then see about setting up my messed up harddrive as a slave to recover exremely, EXTREMELY, important data. If that's possible, I'll try to fix it and set it up as a second drive, although I find that unlikely. After I recover the files (fingers crossed) I hope western digital lives up to their 5 year warranty and can send a new drive. This couldn't have come at a worse time budget-wise but if WD can replace the drive I should be fine. It may be over a week until I'm up and running again, and a few weeks after that until I get a replacement 1TB. I'm so sorry this happened guys!
