So yeah i got the stand offs today and was able to spend way too much time tying things down. The 24 pin was just thin enough to go behind the mobo tray.

The 8 pin cable isnt long enough to go around the mobo and there is no way to go behind since it cant exit from the top. It cuts the corner a little bit.

The USB/Firewire setup i have is out because I am not plugging it in. I think I wired the firewire plugs wrong and have to check it out.

When are you cutting cable management holes, or does your crappy case lack space behind the mobo? Also, I demand more pictures from different angles!

stupid ligther

Hey that lighter instantly turns my machine from green into an energy hog. I call it my use 100 watts button.

Also, I demand more pictures from different angles!

Kind of glad you say that because it looks better from a higher angle. You cant really see how clear of the fan everything is or how recessed the main bundle is from that angle.

Well, pictures? To make it fair, here's my messy server... (Xeon X3210, Giga 965P-DS3, 4GB RAM, HD3850, 80GB Maxtor IDE, 2xSamsung F4EG 2TB)

[I'm kind of PO'd that the top 3.5" bay (actually an external 3.5" bay, but it has mounting holes for a hard drive) has that rolled metal above it. It prevents me from putting the OS drive there. The other four bays are open for future storage upgrades.]

You cant turn the drive around and plug the cables in the other side?

I know I am talking to you on steam now but testing the theory that the chatbox works after i make a post.

Nah: insufficient space. Only one set of mounting holes and the steel is too close to use the "old" ones. I suppose I could just use a single screw on each side but I'd rather not. Further, the real airflow obstruction is that damn IDE cable, but I'm not spending $40 for a cheap SATA drive when I have $5 IDE drives.

Sorry bob my internet went out. Oh well im doing a 12 hour prime95 on my new settings for lower vcore 4.5ghz. Going to sleep.

As mediocre as it is ive submitted my 4.5 Ghz run for the Sandy Bridge Stable, 4Ghz intel and 1Ghz over stock clubs on OCN.

CPU-Z - CPU-Z Validator 3.1

The cpu-z submission is after a reboot and slight voltage drop meant to get one before and messed up.

4.6 doesnt really wish to budge maybe more work on this stupid pll voltage issue with sandy bridge. But I am going to stick with 4.5 work on lowering the voltage and vrm frequency to bring the heat down and lifespan up.

I can't believe you have an IDE ribbon in there. Is that really one of the pre SATA drives? I'm just busting your balls. It looks good so far and it looks like you've got a nice OC on the cpu.

Who are you talking to about an IDE ribbon. There is a single Sata 3Gbps drive in my system.

My machine is in the first post lmao. This is why backwards listing is a bad idea.

I think this has something todo with why you think I use chrome lol.

How long did it take to tame that mess? :) Looks good

Not really sure I was here in this room with it for 4 hours. But I mean probably no more than an hour.

I will put an extension on the 8 pin so that its not cutting across the board. Tighten up the sata power next to it. It can only get so much better with this case.

Its taken longer to tame the overclock thats for sure.
