Can we address chat filter issue?

Hello all,

Not to discourage future players. As TBG has some of the best servers for BF4

I wanted to make a poll, if its worthy. I wish others will add on to do so.
There should be a place to bring such issue... So I'm here. Please be open minded.

I'm offended just like some of the other players here...
I'm tired of seeing some of the bs that's said in game.
Now I'm not easily offended,
but I believe there an issue with the in-game chat filter auto ban feature.

Because an admin needs to review... Which is the correct approach.

I'm about to give you some mildly triggering examples as these are not filtered in-game. At least for BF4.

As many of you know, those who say these words in game AND their beliefs along with them attached....
CAN create the an uproar in, in-game chat, and ARE NOT HELD accountable.

Please don't be offended as we need to discuss this issue and so that its addressed.

Topics like "Racism, Politics" are against TBG policy BUT are still allowed in, in-game chat:
Trump, Biden, Kamala, Liberal, Conservative, Democrat, Left Wing, Right Wing, Communist, and almost every other LGBTQ+ slurs'.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Yes ,they're allowed... In-game, in chat. The words alone are not offensive BUT HOW THEY ARE USED.

The examples above are against TBG chat policies as they fall into the "Anti Racism, Politics Policy Categories.".

I REPEAT, THEY ARE NOT FILTERED IN, IN-GAME CHAT.

Like we know, MANY OF US FALL INTO THESE GROUPS and CATEGORIES.

THE POINT IM MAKING.
Some group's, like the word Jew, are an instant banned word in-game regardless of how its used.
If that is the case, such examples listed above which ARE against TBG chat policies and should be addressed. If not,
AS aggressively as word Jew is. Saying "Jew" is not inherently bad or bringing up such history is bad. Saying word Jew alone, now, will resort to you being banned as it is a censored word as if it is a racial slur.

If that's the case every word listed above should be treated as harshly as the word Jew is and chat filter banned, to face appeal for racism and or political riot maker based off a review of evidence.

That's the issue for me.

AGAIN, ITS THE WORDS ON HOW THEY ARE USED THAT OFFENDS PEOPLE OF ALL GROUPS.

WHAT I'M SUGGESTING
When chat filters a banned word...
If its blatant racism or politics regarding directly to a person or belief of someone to inflict harm. If its obvious... Then admins should know with obvious evidence. If it's a grey area topic,
When asking for a second or third opinion on appeal (With the option on the first appeal or second) shouldn't be an issue as evidence would show the word was used in a derogatory manner or not.

As for the player.
Doing so shouldn't be a way to discourage the first Admin, or the process.
It is the time for the player to defend themselves against being labeled a racist or as a political riot maker.

I REPEAT, a second (or) third Admins opinion when requested by player is because said player has exhausted his/her right to defend themselves in the 1st appeal process.

This should 100% be allowed. vvv


I still find TBG to have the best active bf4 servers in-game, PERIOD.

Here's the overview:
- TBG was founded over 17 years ago with the core ban list we have and it's been reviewed multiple times per year.
- Many would like to add more to the ban list such as homophobic slurs but it has been decided not to do this to older games where player numbers are low.
- The ban on political discussion is newer, not for any of the same reasons as anything else and falls squarely into not adding to the list.

While I spent some time advocating for leniency in some situations the problem is anything that increases workload is just going to cause admins to quit so they can enjoy playing the game. You know instead of dealing with people writing up excuses to how they didn't mean it that way just to watch them appeal their next ban for something they have no chance of talking their way out of this time. Every single player could go their entire lives without typing any of this shit into a game chat box and yet here we are. You have to ask yourself why its so fucking important.

Chat filters are not sentient. Most of them don't even utilize storage/db for warn kick kill. EA/DICE even took away really cool things like in Bad Company 2 you could sensor chat words and the chat would still go through censored.

We would prefer you just shut the fuck up, play the game or do whatever you want, literally anywhere else. The main reason we encounter people in here crying is because we have spent many years and a lot of money investing into this game and when the games die off there are usually only a couple of communities left that spent all their time doing just that. So there is nowhere else to go and if you liked our servers, would it not be for how we run them? Meanwhile the rest of the whiners spent all their time complaining to EA about clans and what do they have to show for it? Games that die when they die because the big bad clans can't keep paying for servers long after the game dies. People claim one minute they want to play on our servers but get mad the next minute and act as if they wish we were gone. Well Battlefield is dead, enjoy it.
