C4 Roofers & Glitching Karkand Server

I have been playing on your Karkand IO server for some time now and for the most part I have to say it's a well run server and quite fun to play on, however when no admins are around it turns in to a C4 roof & glitching fest and that ends up ruining the game for the rest of us who are trying to play legit. I know from my own experiences that you can't always have an admin on the server and Mega told me that you folks monitor the server chat logs and for the most part he does a good job of responding to request when he is available but with that being said when no admin are available the c4 roofing & glitching gets out of control and that ends up causing most of the good players to leave.

Case in point last night when that "leeds-bk-uz" guy was on the server it went from 61 players to less than 30 in just 1 round. I tried to stay around to help get the server filled up again but unfortunately the damage was done for the night and the server never fully recovered. Again I understand that no server is perfect and that you cannot always have admins on the server or available to respond when needed, so with that being said I would like to respectfully volunteer my services to help manage this problem when there is not a TBG admin available.

I understand that you folks may not be receptive to having a non clan member admin one of your servers in any capacity but what I would like to propose is that you give me or someone you trust that is on the server a lot like I am limited in game admin capability to deal specifically with players that habitually glitch or c4 roof jump because those are the two most predominant offenses that occur when there is no TBG admin around. If you don't have anyone available to fill this role I would be more than happy to be of assistance and if you are uncomfortable giving an outside any type of admin capability on your server I would be more than happy to join TBG as a contributing member.

The reason I am bringing this up is because over the past week I have collected over 60 screen shots this past week alone of violators either glitching inside buildings or c4 roof jumping and in some cases entire squads were involved on multiple roofs and as I mentioned previously when this happens it ruins the game for the legitimate players because they are forced to leave or break the rules themselves and when that happens you end up with half the players from both teams trying to C4 roof jump and it just gets out of control. My thinking behind this suggestion is that if you are able to bust the first one or two people breaking the rules when they first do it, this will set the tone and an example for the other players on the server so they won't follow suit and break the rules their selves or simply leave all together.

Again I think overall you guys run a fine Karkand IO server and I enjoy gaming here, however I think that there needs to be more admin coverage to deal with all the C4 roof jumping and glitching because it gets way out of hand when there is no admin available and it is causing players to leave.

I will touch briefly on a few points.

1. Roofers:

a. There will always be people who want to break the rules. If we were to ban all of them - the server will be empty.
b. This will not change no matter the amount of admins. I guarantee you that if let's say you will became a admin yourself - there will be somebody else posting after that, regarding this very same issue.
c. We are currently looking into a auto-admin program that will automatically warn and kick roofers. This may take some time as we are very leary about lagging the server with it.

2. Helping:

a. The best way to help a community is by joining it.
b. Short of that is to report players.

3. Joining:

a. The financial requirement is very small - 1 or 2 six packs a month.
b. Your chances of being accepted increase with the amount of dedication you show. Wanting to join only for the admin rights is not a good reason by itself. What if you discover that administering is tedious/hard work, which sometimes destroys your enjoyment of the game - and you will not bother anymore?
c. Without any false modesty this is the best community right now.

4. Administrating:

a. Be careful what you wish for.
b. It will destroy your k/d ratio, score/min and all your stats overall.
c. You will have to check your ego at the door and you will have to accept being criticized and sometime harassed. You'll have to let things go and ignore some stuff.
d. Sometimes you just want to play and you may miss some in game chat asking for help.

Now with all this being said I hope that you will apply to be a member

I fully understand and respect your position that only members get admin and to be honest I would have been surprised if you had agreed to my suggestion. I ran servers and gaming clans for about 12 years before I grew tired of it and just wanted to play, so I can appreciate where you are coming from on this.

I will continue to post screen shots of glitchers and hackers when the situation arises but in all honesty it would be pointless to post 50 to 60 screen shots a week of c4 roofers and like Mega mentioned you can't ban all of them there would be no one left on the server.

The C4 roof jumping is something that needs to be addressed at the time it happens to be effective. In most cases if you simply kick one the others will stop, so a ban is usually isn't necessary unless you have a repeat or habitual offender and even if that's the case a 24 hour ban will most often deter them from future violations especially if they think they are facing a perm ban the next time they are caught.

Below are 2- example screen shots to show you how bad the problem is and what I am referring to. The screen shots are both from 1- round from Thursday Dec 2nd 1:59PM Est. Please keep in mind that this represents just a small example to what I am referring to.

I will submit an application to join, however I don't want it to appear that I am doing this just to get admin. I also don't have a problem with chipping in $20- $25 bucks a month to help out with the cost of hosting the servers if I am accepted, I know how expensive leasing a dedicated box and web hosting can be.

Again I enjoy playing on the Karkand server and as you know I always obey the rules but you will have to forgive me when the C4 jumpers on and there is no admin available I have to either leave or go up there after them and being I am not one to walk away from a challenge if they choose to high roof with C4 I am going after them..lol
