Are you overclocking the cpu or just using the Intel's tubo mode?

everything is basic, Q77 allows for no tampering i believe its the ram and ssd though. I made some replies and do use intel's turbo mode.

There's your answer then; the MB is limiting your memory, doesn't allow cpu overclocking, and is probably throttling your SSD a litte bit too.

And OC'd you probably steamroll me in all of the the sectors?

Thanks to the site, though, I can decide, that my next upgrade will either be a z77 board(Jesus are they expensive now!) allowing for ram clock or a move to a higher socket architecture
