my computer needs to have a fan replaced, at 800mhz of the possible 2ghz it is sitting at 52degrees so i will be taking it to future shop to get the fan replaced. see ya sometime in the future, god only knows how long it will take them to replace a laptop fan.

I'd be happy to help you get a desktop PC Pilot. I have a few spare parts and I'm sure others have a few as well. They aren't that old either. I'll talk to some of the guys and see what we can come up with :).

After chatting with PhillyOC, I think we can get you something really kick ass for around 400-450 bucks, maybe even less. I was thinking something along the lines of:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130435 - EVGA 9800 GT.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341019 - OCZ StealthXStream - 700 Watts
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231207 - GSkill DDR2 800 (2x2GB) PC2 6400

With tax & shipping it comes out to 289.50. Still need the CPU and Mobo.

Might go AMD with this one :).

I can build SERIOUS systems. I even do the overclocking math. I'm sure Philly does it too. But I'm here if you need someone to bounce ideas off of.

Also, don't be afraid to buy AMD. They aren't as top-end powerful as Intel right now, but they still make damn good parts.

thanks for the offers guys, i may take you up on it after i get a job and have spending money, but for now i have my laptop again so i am good to go.

guys i will be gone again for a bit, they didn't fix the computer. i believe they didn't notice that my modern laptop was clocked at 800mhz.noobs so it wasn't overheating for them.
