"Legendary Pirate site, The Pirate Bay is down after Swedish police raided their servers. This marks the first time in months that the notorious pirate site has gone down.

Stockholm police took action with national authorities in the latest move against copyright infringement. TorrentFreak is reporting that the raided data center was based undergroundin bedrock, part of a old transformer station.

The global fight against The Pirate Bay has been ongoing, with all of it’s founders recently having been recently apprehended. While the site has been resilient to take downs in the past, it remains to be seen if it’ll survive this latest assault."
 
I didn't even know Pirate Bay was still around, they've been around so long they have a cassette tape in their logo. The Pirate Harbor had an 8 track in it's logo.

Pirate bay had too many govt officials watching it to safely download from there anyways. why would you want to knowingly commit crimes in front of them lol?

until the site i use pops up as a mentioned target, i will keep going there

First time in months... see thats not even a thing. It has literally only been months. As we speak there is likely already a replacement site up. Word just hasn't spread.

Eh might be too late by then. I mean they already have investigators as users and police as staff right? :p Nice thing about the internet. Anyone can get in on it even if it requires an invite. At this point location is still always an issue. Some stuff in some countries all they can do is watch.
 
yeah kinda figured that was gonna happen always does. it goes down for maybe 48 hours tops
 
And today it came back up. With a nice big Phoenix logo.
