[ST:O] No Win Scenario Wave 8 Tries 1 2 and 3 - This far no further.

This is mostly for the people involved but hey watch it if you want. If your Trek enough to remember the Kobayashi Maru no win test that captains are put through this is basically an MMO version of that. Except if you make it 10 waves you win. It takes teamwork to make it through and past wave 5.



This was the first time I had ever been anywhere near wave 8 much less on it:

I think we are close to busting a nut in wave 8's face.
 
If we can get those friggin' Bio-Neurals under control, we'll have it whooped. Rain can't take them on directly without dying (they shred me too). I think repulsing *everything* away when the waves warp in is a good idea, then as they start back towards the transport, pick them off.. with people standing guard at the B-N Turrets.

We'll get it.. even if we have to cheat. :)
 
You guys will figure it out eventually. Has anyone actually completed the scenario?

No one in TBG, that I'm aware of anyway. I think there might be a couple of Shadow Raiders (a Fleet that Archeastor is in also) might have. Other than that lots of people, it announces in the game once they beat waves 8/9/10.

The list of people who care enough to have their names on the Wiki is a bit short though. You make it through wave 10 alive (only the people alive get the accolade) you get a commendation for original thinking just like Kirk did when he CHEATED!

Both Prime and Alternate Timeline (Old Movie and New Movie) James Kirks' cheated on the test. They both as a natural development of their character did not believe in a no win scenario causing them to modify the conditions of the test and cheat to win.

This was first introduced in Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan. Which according to i believe wikipedia i read it the movie itself is a no win scenario. But the new movie is the first time we see him doing it. In ST2 we saw the test by another person.
 
The funny thing is is when the SR(Shadow Raiders) fleet does it themselves they never get past wave 6 and more often wave 5. The combination of TBG and SR seems to be the most effective I have seen so far.
