So I was at a gun show last week and saw a rare beauty for $750 but couldn't justify it at the time so I offered $600. The older fellow took my number and said he would think about letting it go for less since his days of hunting are done due to loss of mobility. As I was leaving with my father he came up and said " You both look like you're outdoors allot"
I said " Yes we go hunting from April -December and spend lots of time quadding and dirt biking and camping".
He says" Give her a good home, I shot it 2 times, once to sight in and once on my first Roosevelt Elk. Then I put her in the safe an she slept for 30 years"
I'm now the proud owner of this 1983 mint condition Marlin 444ss
It's got lots of smudges cause I can't keep my hands off it!!
Oh and I got me a new truck after being tboned by a new driver.
