The picture is 100% invalid because it was taken with a fucking potato. Its also not solid material so the blue is showing part way through. Also potato.

I'm perfectly willing to accept that the actual dress is blue, black and short enough to be interesting. However the photo was taken, it has somehow changed the colours into other colours that are neither blue nor black.
