Now how do I get rid of this insanely annoying tablet UI? And damn it I want my start button back!
 
You can also wait. It's supposed to be coming in the next update.

Will start in desktop mode and have a menu.
 
I have to say ... I am very impressed in the boot times using 8.1
 
Yeah, it's nice...btw why didn't you just save BF4 so you only had to download like maybe 1gb?
 
My Hard drive was doing the death clunk and I already had a pair of Samsung 840's lying around from my shipment. I had a lot of stuff that wasn't loading up correctly so I figured it would be better to do everything fresh.

Until they do the updates to kill the tablet interface, I'll stick with 7. Have 8 on my laptop, it's enough to convince me to wait.

or just install your own replacement start menu for free or pay $5 for start8 which is a fantastic program.

Win 8 really is better for gaming and multi core utilization.

that and i won't be able to afford anything until Fall. Summer break is almost upon us.

Corsair carbide 500 series case, Corsair TX850 PSU, Intel 4770k cpu, Asus z87 deluxe mobo, Corsair Vengeance pc15000 16 gb ram, XFX r9 290x 4gb video card, 2x Samsung 840 pro 500gb SSD's, ASUS VG278HE 27 in monitor, Razer Mamba mouse, Razer blackwidow mechanical keyboard.

Just need to shop for a good headset now

Consider what the possibilities of what they're thinking about ramming down your anus in the future.

If you want a quality headset. Get the same one as me and Doc. the Sennheiser PC 350 SE are really nice and great mic. Fuck I'm Heavy!
But they aint cheap!
