Can't Join BF3 server fix

Hi there,

Yesterday I wasn't able to join any BF3 server. By the looks of things, I am not alone. After trying everything obvious under the sun ( updating game, repairing game, reinstalling game, reinstalling origin, trying a different browser etc etc. ) I tried disabling "Use plugin-free game launching" on the Battlelog edit profile page (https://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/profile/edit/) and low and behold it worked. Not saying it will work for you but it did for me. Maybe EA fixed the issue at the same time I tried this?


Anyway, below is a quick video tutorial of what I did. *Note that for whatever reason it goes back to being enabled once you save the changes. Weird!

i couldnt even get bf3 to reinstall correctly before trying this
