Battlefield 1942 Memories

Seriously.. does anyone else here miss playing Battlefield 1942? The battle of Midway map was a great sea/air battle map to play and El Alamein was another great huge map with no annoying borders where you'd die after 10 seconds.

Those were the good ole' days huh?

Aside from 2142 the Battlefield series has been declining in playability quality. What's with 1943.. 3 maps that are smaller than normal... crazy.

Thinking of digging out 1942 and looking to see if anyone is still playing it.... oh and the Desert Combat mod was sick! Awesome gaming.

I started late and played DC all the time. Been hooked ever since. Don't think I even have all the discs any longer.

Still have them all; but, haven't played in a long time. I just know if you shoot at the aircraft carrier long enough you can sink it.

i still have the discs. I got into building computers just to play battlefield games. 1942 came up all purple and stuff on my first dell p3 (1ghz). i made a new build for each BF release since then. even up to BC2 i built an i7 system.
