ATI Drivers and WinXP =crap

So, the crossfire option is not available with ATI drivers 8.11, 8.12 in Winxp. They are avialable in 8.10 and lower in Xp, and even ATI suggested I use the 8.10 drivers for crossfire. Except, when using 8.10 BF2142 freezes the game and usually my system after about 5 or 10 minutes of gaming.

I thought maybe it was my memory, bios settings, etc. It turns out it was the drivers. I reinstalled 8.12 and no problems at all with 2142, but also no crossfire. WTF? 011 =(

Allright, so I updated PB manually, and it seems to have fixed the problem. At least the short while I was in the game. Previously, it was within a minute or two the game was freezing. I'll keep my fingers crossed that updating PB manually is the solution. We'll see I'm done for the night.
