Are they collectors items now or what cause the cost more now than they did when they first came out. And it looks like they don't even make the make them anymore.

Newegg doesnt even carry the 5850 or 5870's anymore from what I looked earlier. Popular high end chipsets run out quicker. Mean while you will be able to pick up an 8400 GS in a decade.... lol

Personally I rock a 9500 GT on a PCI card YES i said PCI lol.

They're solid graphics cards and were discontinued because they beat HD6800 performance and have high-end features. The differences were rather minimal. The used market for HD5800's is pretty good, though.
