Just picked up a 290X. Not sure if I'm deaf or whatever, but I do not notice the noise of the card in Uber mode over my open ear headphones while playing. It is quite similar in noise level to my old EVGA 560 TI. Was thinking I definitely needed to upgrade the cooler or run a water loop but...

Pretty good patch with a very very rough start..... Major complaint is I needed to switch from 1080P with everything maxed out to 1366X768 with everyone on the lowest setting for it to remain playable.... Hopefully they fix the performance issues soon.

I'm more surprised you aren't the commander than by your score....

After 30 minutes the score is the same as it was, as it the number and name of the people playing. So either they are having some kind of slumber party, or something has gone really wrong with the server, heh.

Routing issues shouldn't show people playing who aren't though. I was playing earlier today just fine (it seeded really quick as well) with no lag at all. Very peculiar....

Looks like the server is down or something.... Connecting manually via IP errors out with the "could not establish connection to server" error instead of the "server full" error.

In the NS2 server browser it is alternating between having it at 24/24 players playing on the server, and 0/24. When you look to see who is playing and when they joined it shows that the longest playing person has been playing for 13 hours, and the person who joined the latest has been playing...

Yea, it was a low voltage arc flash. Certainly freaked the fuck out of me that's for sure. Inside everything was roasted. Had to pitch the supply because the smell was just god awful even after a few days.... (and that was the last "Ultra" brand PSU I ever bought.....)

try spamming F8 on boot up, with any luck it will allow you to enter the windows boot loader, where you can enter safe mode or do a recovery, etc. Try that out. If you can get to it, you can likely just do a windows recovery, which would do pretty much the same as reinstalling from disk...
