so I've been playing on this server for a a little bit and I have a couple suggestions to make the server more engaging.
  • The first is the team ticket count.. its a little high.. it used to be at 400 but someone dropped it down to 150. Thank you for that. Still pretty long though, because it prevents players from getting through a map list, and after a certain amount of time, there is so much repetition with the spawning and tactics that players start to drop out or play not as interestingly.. I've caught myself looking at the ticket count more often because "I'm starting to get bored, how much longer until next map" rather than "how many tickets until securing a win." Sometimes people play such a long map they all leave the game soon after the map is over.
  • vehicle spawn rate or amount of vehicles. Since there are only transport vehicles, maps like paracel storm are a pain to get around in Conquest, because a vehicle being used immediately sets it up in the countdown to explode once left unattended (anyone know how many meters distance? can that be lengthened?). Is there any way to increase the time before exploding? or stretch out the damaging rate? Its kinda ridiculous how short of a time away your jetski wants to blow up. Either that or a faster respawn for the vehicles (or even more vehicles)? (I would prefer the former options though because then it would require the diligence to return to your vehicle and escort it/hold accountability of it, instead of burning vehicle after vehicle). Its nice having a lot of space to move around in and even engage in precise semi-automatic long range firefights, but the running-across-the-map increases the boredom factor (i catch 1-2 people every other night questioning the lack of vehicles), more transport vehicles will make the rush to get objectives in conquest much more engaging. Also lets us improve our driving (something a lot of us could improve on).
  • Maps. Thank you for not putting sunken dragon or lumphini garden into the map rotation, for they're not balanced maps. But I'm surprised dragon valley isn't in the map rotation (free legacy map). IMO DV conquest (maybe not conquest large) is a very interesting and balanced map, there's a little everything for all the classes, a lot of vic spawns for getting around, and the tdm version is a classic that is actually still played bf3 (if anyone has ever wandered to bf3 recently). Maybe put pearl market first? its a great fast pace map that is nice map to start when a server is filling up.
  • i remember seeing in a server an option to give the squad leader position to another person in the squad based on a certain "!" command. It was pretty nifty, maybe we can get it too?
Besides that, server is great, the fact that an admin took care of the ticket count the following day means theres is some diligence to improving quality of server rather than migamings infantry server still not selecting a new map list rotation.
Lastly, thank you for the !surrender option. I don't see it used very often but it nice for it to be there. Lets people be gentleman-like and graciously accept defeat so we can move on to another map and teammates selection.
